Fasterlavn
The Danish people
has many Holidays and a one is for kids. They put on costumes and masks and look they
like, clown, witches and other things. That it´s called fasterlavn. They go from door to
door with a can to collect money in and sing a special song, while they rattle with the
can and when they have finished singing for some grown ups, they get candy and money. Our
school, Nexø School also has a carnival, but only for the 4 youngest grades. First they
have a parade at the school and then they knock a barrel with clubs.
