Fastelavn = Carneval

Fastelavn is an old danish tradition. Itīs a tradition that is more than 1000 years old!!!
Today we hit a barrel - and in the old days there was a live cat inside the barrel!
But today we just put candy and fruit inside the barrel. Another way to celebrate carneval is to wear funny clothes and go to visiting people and then we sing a song and hope for money or candy!
Children like to dress up and have fun the whole day.
