TRAINING OF TEACHERS' ITC SKILLS
We'll organise intensive
training sessions for teachers in order to:
create a multimedia presentation
create Web pages
use the Internet in teaching.
Our trainers will be teachers (teachers teach teachers).
CREATING A NETWORK OF SCHOOLS
LOCAL AREA NETWORK
WIDE AREA NETWORK
between different schools in different countries (WWW) for a "on line"
collaboration
DIDACTICS
Use of media off line
Children produce works in mother tongue and in English language about the Theme.
Children learn to use ITC in writing, painting and photographing.
Use of media on line in order to:
use e-mail
publish the pages on the Web
read Web pages other schools produced
use the Internet in learning
MAKING WEB PAGES
Teachers - after intensive training and eventually in interaction with experts - will make
Web pages and will create Multimedia presentations to publish children's own productions
on the Web and on CD-ROMs.
Web pages and CD-ROMs supply information on the different lifestyles and on what the
children of various European countries think.
OPEN DOORS DAYS
During the Netd@ays week, we
plane to invite children to show to their parents, local organisations and local
administrators the work ("pupils teach their parents', 'children teach adults').
We'll also organise a videoconference between pupils and teachers from different
Countries.

UP - Detail project description
We'll diffuse methods and
results of the project using active public relations and promotions to the following
target groups:
Local other schools (teachers-pupils)
Parents and citizens
Local public administrators
We'll make a media coverage plane (local TV and Newspapers), we'll provide to make and
diffuse leaflets, posters, CD-ROM, books; we'll also organise open-doors days.
The pages will be on the Web so teachers and children all around the world can use them in
learning and in teaching activities.

that teachers will be able to verify the work done, will discuss how plane or develop a
further co-operation.
UP - Detail project description
The partnership is formed by
schools located in Europe:
East and West Europe,
North and South Europe,
EU Countries,
applicant Countries for the EU
and also by schools located in non-European Countries.
Schools are located in small and big islands, cities, rural villages and towns, in Europe
and beyond Europe. Everywhere, children and teachers will work on a common project.
* In a training session teachers
develop their ITC expertise and learn to use the Internet in their teaching.
* Children learn to use ITC in writing, painting and photographing.
* Children describe their different ways or life in different European countries
* Teachers put pupils' own work on the Web.
We think that our plane is simple but powerful. :)Europe@n Kids project facilitates
pupils' knowledge of other cultures, differing values and languages. It can be also a good
way to productively use ITC.
It includes active public relations and promotions, a media coverage plane,
open-doors-days....
Teachers, parents, children in Europe and all over the World can see on the Web the
results of our job and think to make (or to propose other schools to make) the same.
The CD-ROM and the book, we think to make, will diffuse the work in different ways.
