Our school

It is situated near Lisbon. The students and teachers are greatly involved in international projects concerning ecology and technologies (ITC).

Lisbon Zoo

It was opened in 1884 but only in 1905 found its permanent home "Quinta das Larajeiras"Since the 80's a new business policy has breathed fresh light into Lisbon Zoo, allowing it to achieve its vocation as attractions park, educational space and research center

Oceanário

It is situated in the Park of the Nations and was created for the EXPO 98.It gathers several kinds of sea inhabitants from the seven continents of the planet. Its external architecture seems an island on the ocean or an anchored ship. It is one of the biggest in Europe.

Parque Ecológico de Monsanto

Park situated in the surroundings of Lisbon, is considered the lung of Lisbon city.It contains a rich collection of Mediterranean animals and plants.One of the school activities was the transposition of the textures of the tree to the paper.

Christmas

Christmas is celebrated in Portugal as in many countries in Europe. In our school we made exhibitions with the works of the students, sent digital postcards.
We decorated a big Christmas tree, made a crib and sang Christmas songs.

Typical worker villas

They come from the beginning of the 20th century and were built by the businessmen of the time to house the factory workers.

Historical village

Piodão, an ancient village located near the highest mountain in Portugal.(Serra da Estrela).
The houses are made of schist and are much appreciated for its originality.

Cross of the end of the School year

It is a very popular event in the school community, involving students, teachers and supported by the local TownHall.

Friends of Nature Club

Environment Club with several participations in international contests and projects. It develops many activities in and outside school.The forest and urban ecosystems are now the outstanding goals.
