We remember last year we went with a bus to visit the Saint Joseph altar made with differents shapes of bread.
It is symbolic bread.

Christmas

presepe.jpg (11336 byte)A celebration that I lived with my Heart is Christmas time. All the city, the Houses and schools become bright, full of lights. Decorations, and cribs are in every part.
I remember the crib we made last time : it was created with glass bottle and salt.

Christmas in the sun

Natale sotto il sole.jpg (54598 byte)For Christmas the streets are full of bright Christmas decorations. during the day , it's nice because there is often the sun. In the evening when we go for a walk, in the streets we can see lights, toys and sweets every where.
For Christmas I receive lots of presents. In my town I can see also for Christmas the sun.
My own is a town on the sea: Marsala, in Sicily - Italy.
It is a "warm" place, there the snow never falls.

Carneval

For carneval, in February I went to Aci Reale to watch the wonderful allegoric wagons . the travel was quite long. But the feast was very nice. Unfortunately, there were too many people, I did not have enough space for me.

The Via Crucis

It is celebrated in March or April.
My town take part to it in big groups, and coinvolves most of citizen. For two days, people go together in the streets to walk and to dramatize the via Crucis, that is the lasts moments of Jesus life.
That is the last moments of his life, before being crucified.

The celebration about our dear dead person

martorana.jpg (36384 byte)The first two days of November we celebrated our dead people. People go to the cemetery, switch on the candles and bring to the tombs lots of flowers.
In the day for the dead person people can eat special sweets made of sugar and almonds.
