 We are
the children of a primary school in Italy.
Our City is in the west side of Sicily.
The climate is often nice and the town is reach of sun, salt, wind, sea, wine.
It 's an interesting place to visit, full of Shops, cooperatives, recreational centre.

In the agriculture of our town it's very important the grapes cultivation. All around
the city there are huge fields full of vines.
There are different kinds of grapes: table grapes and wine grapes. From which we can get
different kinds of wine well known in all the world. |

Our town is on the sea.
A part of the sea is closed from one long island and is called "Stagnone ".
In the middle of this Stagnone there is an island that was a fenicians colony.
 Now it is a nice island
reach of peace calm, relax, and where you can visit the ancient fenician rests. |

Marsala is situated long the Mediterranean sea in the extremity coast of
the west Sicily .
The most important activity is the wine production, in particular the Marsala wine, famous
all over the world .
In Marsala there are same natural products: vegetables, grapes, fruits ... 
There are many historical places, due to his history.
Very important is Mothya an island situated in the
middle of the Stagnone, that is an historical island in a peace
of closed see that at the moment is a natural reserve . |

 The S. FRANCESCO 's
BASTIONE is a one of the eight BASTIONI (a old wall) built from the Spanish inhabitants to
defend the city . Today this monument is used as free place as a garden . From this garden
it's possible to see the city and some landscape.

 The
most famous MARSALA's square is the Republic Square.
Is situated in the old centre of the city. In the old time it was the centre of the civil
and religious life, in this square there are two of the most famous monuments of
MARSALA."VII April Palace " and "The Cathedral".

A characteristic corner of Marsala is where there is a Cathedral , that with its
greatness predominate all the square.  It was found in the Norman age and it's
dedicated at Thomas of Canterbury.
This church is divided in three parts. There are 8 flemish walls arras representing some
episodes of the war between Tito and the Judaeans. |

 This
fountain is an example of the historical activity of Marsala. In fact one of the main
activity, which our town has been living on is the wine and the cultivation of different
kinds of vineyards . The principal elements are:
- the donkey (that was a basic element of Sicily - life)
- the wine
symbols of the work and of the welfare of the Sicilian land.

The Punic ship found about in 1970th; today it is saved in BAGLIO ANSELMI: a museum.
It is a long ship, sank during a EGADy'S war, where the Roman defeated the Punic people in
the years before Christ. |

In the sea called "STAGNONE" that is around Marsala, there are
SALINE, basin full of salt water where the men pick out the salt.
The people who works there are expert, they follow all the phases of production of salt.
The tools for this job are the same as time ago.

Marsala is a city
where art, culture and tradition are in all places. The culture can be seen in the
archeologic Museum, in the decorated tapestry museum, in the CARMINE square.
Every year the traditions are celebrated, for example the procession of Mistery in Easter
time, the S.Joseph's invite, in March, the S.Giovanni Battista's procession. ... |
