The City of Rome has
organised the Global Junior Challenge, an international award for the most innovative
technology projects in the field of education and professional training.
The GJC 2000 has been a great success with more than 580 participating projects from over
50 countries world-wide! The jury selected 90 finalist projects in 5 categories, and
EuropeanKids project has been selected as finalist in the "up to 15 years"
category.
We went to Rome on 4th December 2000, to take part in the Award Ceremony of the Global
Junior Challenge Competition.
We met a lot of colleagues coming from all over the world, we saw nice projects, and showed
our project to the colleagues ... EuropeanKids project received a medal in the Rome City
Hall during the evening.

It has been a very nice experience, we took some pictures of the persons involved in
interesting project, and of "The Authorities":
Laura Balbo, Professor of Sociology and Dean, University of Ferrara and Jury member;
Mariella Gramaglia, President of the Telecities Network;
the Major of Stockholm...
Look at the pictures... and enjoy them!
