Totalán
During he eighteenth and nineteenth centuries the economy was based on the agriculture.At the end of the vineyards because of the fhilloxera, this economic model was disappearing and part of the population emigrated to the coast. After the civil war, Totalán had about one thousand and five hundred inhabitants.

Today, they are six hundred and thirty and its vegetative increase remains stationary.
In the fifties begin a new period of changes : building , hostelry and domestic service begin to get into importance.
Nowadays, most of the active population of Totalán leaves the village in the morning to the coast and comes back in the evening.
Totalán is becoming a dormitory locality with all the culture changes hat it implies.
